A Barrington police officer tracked down the vehicle involved in an alleged hit-and-run that took place in Seekonk on Tuesday, May 6.
After learning of the incident, the local officer searched Barrington roads for a Chevy Trailblazer matching the description of the vehicle that struck a pedestrian on Route 6. The officer eventually located the Trailblazer — it had front-end damage that was consistent with reports from Seekonk police — parked in the driveway of a Hampden Meadows area home.
The officer spoke to the vehicle’s owner who said he believed he struck a pothole and some road debris, which had caused the damage. Seekonk police reported that the victim of the hit-and-run suffered bruises and injuries to the leg.
As of Tuesday morning, May 13, Seekonk police were still investigating — no one has been charged yet.
