Warren police charge several with domestic assault

Monday, Sept. 24

Police got a call about a man lying in the middle of the bike path near Market Street. He refused medical treatment.

There was a call about a man trying to pick a fight with a delivery driver on Main Street.

Police received a call that there was a man in the middle of Main Street hailing traffic at 6:09 a.m.

A loose dog call came in from Ellis Avenue.

A Water Street resident reported a past breaking and entering.

A caller from Market Street resident requested a police escort to keep the peace while he picked up some belongings.

Tuesday, Sept. 25

A loud music call came in on Davis Street at 1:31 a.m.

Police got a call at 3:!5 a.m. from a person reporting a marked increase in turkey sightings in the area.

A Bridge Street woman told police that someone broke into her home and stole her things.

The animal control officer received a complaint about chickens on William Avenue.

A car struck a pedestrian at Church and Water streets around 11:22. The pedestrian refused medical attention.

A Paquin Street man complained that a neighbor was draining his pool into his yard.

A Main Street man reporting a past breaking and entering told police that whoever broke in left drug paraphernalia behind. He suspected a group of kids had a party in the house while he was gone.

An employee of a Market Street boatyard reported seeing or hearing shots fired from a home, possibly from a pellet gun. Police checked it out but couldn’t find anyone else who saw the incident.

Larceny was reported on Long Lane.

Police responded to Main and Wheaton streets for two men who got into an argument.

A Third Street resident reported receiving threats.

A stolen bike call came in from Avenue A.

Wednesday, Sept. 26

A car parked on the side of Market Street at 3:22 had been driven by a man who police learned had pulled over after becoming too tired to drive.

A parent spoke to an officer about an issue her daughter had had with a substitute teacher at the Hugh Cole School.

A caller from Metacom Avenue reported receiving harassing phone calls.

A Birchswamp Road man told police that he’d been threatened.

A Child Street woman reported being harassed.

Police were called out to Market Street for an injured hare.

Sean Robin, 22, of 37 Benefit St., was arrested on a bench warrant issued from Sixth Division District Court. Police picked him up on Laurel Lane at 6:24 p.m.

Robert L. Gervais, 26, of 13 Child St., Apt. B, was arrested on an East Providence warrant and turned over to officers from that department.

A Wheaton Street resident complained at 10:10 p.m. that neighbors were talking too loudly.

Police were called to a disturbance on Cole Street, and two minutes later to Greenlawn, for loud music.

Thursday, Sept. 27

A Davis Street woman called police at 2:37 a.m. to report that there was someone in the attic. Police looked and didn’t find anyone, but noted in the report that the woman was under the influence.

A man walked into the station and asked that an officer accompany him while he went to his ex-girlfriend’s apartment to pick up his clothes.

A Kenny Drive woman reported a possible larceny from a purse.

Donald E. Sylvia, 46, o 199 Child St, first floor, was cited for driving after the denial, suspension or revocation of his license after police pulled hm over on Cutler Street at 12:52 p.m.

Police got a call about a car tearing up a lawn on Market Street.

Friday, Sept. 28

Police got a call about a woman shouting on Metacom Avenue at 3:56 p.m.

Sambath Sam, 32, of Cranston, was cited for driving after the denial, suspension or revocation of his license, after police pulled him over on Metacom Avenue at 10:10 a.m.

The animal control officer was called out to Serpentine Road for a report of a cow stuck in a fence.

Police were called to Ellis Avenue for a landlord-tenant dispute.

Saturday, Sept. 29

Police got a call about a man at Main and Water streets yelling at parking cars.

A resident complained about smoke coming from an open burn on Birchswamp Road.

A man and woman were reported yelling on Metacom Avenue.

Lisa Medeiros, 35, of 4 Riverview Ave., was cited for driving after the denial, suspension or revocation of her license after police pulled her over on Metacom Avenue at 5:52 p.m.

A woman brought in her young daughter and complained that another child struck her while at an acquaintance’s house.

A barkign dog complaint came in from Child Street.

Aaron C. Braz, 21, of Bristol, was cited for driving after the denial, suspension or revocation of his license after police pulled him over on Metacom Avenue at 11:47.

Sunday, Sept. 30

John J. Russo, 40, of 39 Child St., Apt. B, was charged with domestic simple assault/battery, domestic disorderly conduct, domestic vandalism/malicious injury to property and domestic refusal to relinquish a telephone, afte police were called to his home at 4:01 a.m. by a woman who said her boyfriend struck her.

A Mason Street woman told police that someone went through her car.

A Mason Street man reported the theft of a bike.

Police were called to Davis Street for a report of a man and woman yelling. It turned out to be two men watching TV loudly.

Paul D. Taylor, 48, of 30 Davis St., first floor, was arrested on a bench warrant issued from Sixth Division District Court in Providence.

A loud music call came in from Sowamsett Avenue at 5:10 p.m.

A Davis Street man called police to report that his girlfriend, who was fighting with him, was attempting to get into his apartment, but he was blocking her out.
