A Warren man was arrested Friday after he allegedly punched out the window of another driver’s car during a “road rage” incident.

Warren police said were alerted Friday, Sept. 14 by Bristol police of an altercation that had just occurred between two drivers in that town, and that the cars were heading into Warren. Police said that once the cars entered Warren, both — one driven by the alleged victim, the other by Cody L. Carpenter, 21, of 78 Seymour St. — pulled over, at which point Mr. Carpenter got out, walked over to the other car’s passenger side, and punched out the side window. He then got back into his car and left, police said. The other driver left, too, but was able to identify Mr. Carpenter and called police. Police contacted him later and asked if he’d like to come down to the station to talk about the incident. He agreed, and was arrested there.

Mr. Carpenter faces charges of vandalism/malicious injury to property and disorderly conduct.
