Juan R. Garcia, 25, of 1212 West Main Road, Apt. A, Middletown, was charged on an active bench warrant out of Second District Court after the vehicle he was driving was stopped on Bristol Ferry road just after midnight because its plate lights weren’t working.

Lee A. Sprague, 59, of 132 Alden Road, Prudence Island, was charged with violating a no-contact order just before 6 p.m. Public Safety Office Glenn A. Young was traveling south on Neck Farm Road on Prudence Island when he observed Mr. Sprague entering a Subaru Outback with what appeared to be a beer bottle in his hand, police said. After Mr. Sprague was warned not to drive with an open container of alcohol in the vehicle, a female appeared and told the officer they were merely cleaning the car together. A records check revealed there was a protection order in place as a result of a previous domestic dispute between the two, according to police.
Monday, Oct. 21
Leslie Andrews, 39, of 8 Union St., Warren, was charged with obstructing a police officer in the execution of his duties and driving with a suspended or revoked license. Police responded to West Main Road at Union Street for a report of a disabled vehicle around 7 p.m. Ms. Andrews, who said she was waiting for AAA to respond, first identified herself as Linda Dean, according to police.Add to favorites
