Christopher H. Gavin, 21, of Narragansett, was charged with domestic assault at 11:26 p.m. after a dispute with a family member.

Saturday, Dec. 1

After responding a report of a neighbor dispute at 10:20 p.m., police charged Joseph W. Arruda, 21, of 118 West Main Road, Apt. 1, Portsmouth, with felony assault and also held him on a bench warrant. Police were told that he had brandished an 8-inch chef’s knife at a neighbor and “threatened to slice him.” In connection with that dispute, police also charged Marissa Anne Stours, 19, of 118 West Main Road, with disorderly conduct.

After receiving a report of an erratic driver, police found Adam C. Reece, 23, of 1050 Middle Road, Portsmouth, parked in his car in a driveway. He was charged at 1:14 a.m. with drunk driving and refusing a chemical breath test.

Sunday, Dec. 2

Jacqueline R. Faryniarz, 20, of Harwinton, Conn., was charged with marijuana possession after she was stopped for speeding on Boyd’s Lane.
