Police were called to Hathaway School where someone had shot holes in three large window with what appeared to be BBs or pellets.

Friday, Nov. 30

Mattresses were dumped on Freeborn Street beneath the Route 24 overpass.

Thursday, Dec. 6

Responding to a 5:29 p.m. complaint of loud noise on Hummocks Avenue, officers discovered loud Christmas music coming from speakers on a porch. The man who lived there was asked to turn the music down and he obliged.

Friday, Dec. 7

Andrew L. Andino, 19, of Newport, was arrested on a bench warrant after he was stopped for a loud muffler on West Main Road at 11:45 p.m.

Saturday, Dec. 8

Joseph T. Emory, 24, of Somerset, was charged with marijuana possession and driving with a foreign license while his license was suspended after he was stopped for speeding on West Main Road at 1:39 a.m.

Sunday, Dec. 9

Police charged Christopher E. Bromley, 36, of Mendon, Mass., with domestic assault and domestic vandalism (breaking a mirror) at 7:22 a.m. Police said he was involved in a dispute with his girlfriend after she confronted him about messages found on his phone.
