Portsmouth police charge two Tiverton residents with DUI

PORTSMOUTH — Two Tiverton residents were stopped by police in Portsmouth last week and charged with drunk driving violations.

After her car was pulled over for speeding on East Main Road  about 1:25 a.m. on Sunday, Feb. 17, Mary Ann Crittenden, 51, of 48 Louise Drive, Tiverton, was charged by Portsmouth police with driving while intoxicated (first offense) and refusal to submit to a chemical test.

On Saturday, Feb. 23, Anthony Vieira, 68, of 3 Blackbird St., Tiverton, was charged by Portsmouth police with driving while intoxicated (first offense) after his vehicle was stopped around 12:25 a.m. on West Main Road. Police said the car’s headlights were not on.
