PORTSMOUTH — Here are some highlights from the Portsmouth police log from over the past week.

Monday, Feb. 3

Michael E. Dodd, 30, of no permanent address, was charged at about 10:30 a.m. with entering a home with felonious intent. Police said the charge stems from an incident in November, when a Chase Road man reported that his Xbox console and related equipment, along a bottle of prescription drugs, was missing from his home. Mr. Dodd was staying with him at the time, he told police.

Tuesday, Feb. 4

Nichol M. Corey, 29, of 2787 East Main Road, Apt. 4, was charged with domestic assault after police responded to a report of a domestic disturbance at a West Main Road home around 9:10 a.m.

Thursday, Feb. 6

Police responded at about10:30 a.m. to the area of East Main Road and Schoolhouse Lane after getting a report of a vehicle that had been disabled after hitting a pothole. The right, front tire was damaged and its rim bent, police said.

Friday, Feb. 7

Police responded to the area of Hedley Street and High Point Avenue for a report of a vehicle that had been damaged after hitting a pothole around 8 a.m. The driver, Kyle Zdabosz, said he was traveling southbound off Route 24 onto West Main Road when his front passenger tire blew out as it struck the pothole.

The owner of Cindy’s Country Cafe, 1324 West Main Road, told police she believed someone had attempted to enter the restaurant overnight through a small window on its north side. The window was discovered to have been damaged by workers on the morning shift, police said. It did not appear that anyone entered the building and no items were reported missing, police said.

Saturday, Feb. 8

Christopher Pittman, 45, of 58 West Friendship St., Apt. 3R, Providence, was charged with driving while intoxicated shortly after 1 a.m. Police stopped him for speeding and crossing over the center of the road on West Main Road near West Passage Drive.

Tuesday, Feb. 11

Ginamarie R. Doherty, 50, of 10 Osage Drive, Middletown, was charged with driving while intoxicated (first offense) after being stopped for speeding on West Main Road at Bay View Tower around 12:20 a.m.
