The driver of a truck that crashed into the Grist Mill last month will not be facing charges, according to a press release issued Friday by the Seekonk Police Department.

The release states that an investigation determined there was no evidence that driver of the tractor trailer was speeding or otherwise operating impaired. The investigation did reportedly determine, however, that there had been a failure to prevent cargo shifting stemming from a lack of spacers between pallets and walls over 1.6 feet of space inside the shipping container.

State Police have reportedly issued a citation to Chiquita Fresh North America, LLC, Cincinnati, OH, for Fail to Prevent Cargo from Shifting.
