Little Compton police: roadside stand thief nabbed


Friday, Dec. 7

Kerri L. Lesneski, 32, of 42 Heritage Park, Tiverton, was charged at 4:35 p.m. with larceny under $1,500 after allegedly stealing money from a road side stand on South of Commons Road.  When officers first arrived at the scene, the suspect had already fled the area.  The victim gave a description of the suspect and the vehicle she left in.  Ms. Lesneski was later located and admitted to stealing the money.

Tuesday, Dec. 4

At 11:46 a.m., while officers were taking a report in Wilbur’s Store that a wallet had been found there, the owner of the wallet arrived and it was turned over to him.

At 11:50 a.m., officers responded to a report of an apparent breaking and entering of a Pottersville Road residence that was for sale, the front door of which appeared to have been kicked in. They checked the dwelling, couldn’t find anyone inside or anything missing, and left.

A caller reported at 5:42 p.m. that several items had been stolen from her car which she had left unlocked at the Commons.
