Bristol Police: Man Charged with Passing Counterfeit Checks

Rinn Hay, 38, of 183 Adelaide Ave., Providence, was charged with passing counterfeit checks at the Stop & Shop on Metacom Avenue on March 18. The reported originated with the Providence Police Department when the alleged victim reported money had been stolen from his checking account. Hay, reportedly an acquaintance of the victim, allegedly stole the checks and cashed two of the them at Stop & Shop in the amounts of $800 and $600. He was charged with two counts.

Alexander Papaioannou, 26, of 82 Owen Drive, Cumberland, was charged with violating a protective order on March 18.

Joey Demoura, 44, of Third Street, Bristol, was charged with domestic simple assault and domestic disorderly conduct on March 21.

Dean Dacosta Jr., 25, of 50 Watson Way, was charged with larceny under $1,500 for allegedly stealing car parts from Jack’s Salvage and Auto Parts, 635 Metacom Ave.

Steven K. Shaw, 21, of 42 Rockwood Drive, Florham Park, NJ, was charged with driving under the influence and refusal to submit to a chemical test after he was pulled over on Hope Street about 2 a.m. on March 23.

Shawn Clarke, 24, of 20 St. Elizabeth St., Apt. 3, Bristol, was arrested on a domestic warrant on March 21.

Samuel Asim Aquil, 34, of 67 Catherine St., Bristol, was arrested on a Superior Court bench warrant and charged with possession of narcotics after being pulled over on Mt. Hope Avenue on March 17.

Michael S. Bouchard, 22, of 21 San Juan Drive, Bristol, was arrested on a 6th District Court bench warrant.
