Snow fell in Barrington this week and more is reportedly on its way Friday night into Saturday.

With winter in full swing, Barrington Police John LaCross is reminding residents they are required to clear sidewalks along their property under a town ordinance.

The ordinance states property owners have until 6 p.m. on the afternoon following any snow fall to shovel the sidewalks. Failure to do so can result in a $50 fine.

The town also has a winter parking ban in effect. Vehicles cannot be parked along local streets overnight (11 p.m. to 6 a.m.) from December through March.

Failure to comply with this ordinance could result in a vehicle being towed.
