A Barrington man reported his Blackberry stolen from a locker at the Bayside YMCA. The man said he left the Blackberry in an unlocked locker for about an hour while working out. When he returned, the device was gone.
Police arrested Jasneet Singh, 30, of East Providence, on a Sixth District Court bench warrant. Police stopped Ms. Singh’s vehicle on County Road near the White Church for an expired registration decal. East Providence issued the warrant in June 2012 for failure to appear on a charge of driving with an expired driver’s license.
Tuesday, Feb. 26
A Joann Drive man called police after discovering his vehicle had been rifled through. The man said the car was unlocked in his driveway overnight and though nothing was missing, the center console was open and several items appeared to have been moved.
A County Road resident was reported missing. The individual was found in Warren.
A Hazelton Road man reported receiving harassing phone calls. The man said he first received the calls about a year ago, while living in Fall River. The caller would state there was a warrant for the man and request personal information. The man never provided any information and contacted police when he recently started to get the calls once more.
Police removed several signs advertising a painting company along Massasoit Avenue. The signs are illegal under local ordinance; police contacted the owner.
Thursday, Feb. 28
Police arrested Cory Michael Dellefemine, 23, of East Providence, on a Sixth District Court bench warrant. Mr. Dellefemine was also allegedly driving with a denied, suspended or revoked driver’s license. Police stopped Mr. Dellefemine’s vehicle on County Road near Belton Drive at 2:22 a.m. for a defective rear passenger taillight. Seekonk Police reportedly issued the warrant in July 2012 for failure to appear in court on a charge of disorderly conduct.
Police assisted with a vehicle repossession on Maple Avenue at 4:17 a.m.
A purple Roadmaster mountain bike was found in shrubs on Maple Avenue.
An Opechee Drive man reported an iPhone and its charger stolen from his vehicle. The man said his vehicle was unlocked in the driveway overnight.
Police arrested Ryan Vasquez, 27, of Warren, on a warrant. Police stopped Mr. Vasquez’s vehicle near Barrington Middle School on Middle Highway at 3:28 p.m. for erratic operation. Mr. Vasquez said he was trying to keep up with another vehicle. The warrant was issued by Warren Police for misdemeanor larceny.
Police issued a Barrington woman a no trespass warning. The woman reportedly tried to enter a Foote Street home to meet up with her boyfriend, though the woman reportedly isn’t allowed inside the residence.
Friday, March 1
Police charged Michael Paul Januario, 29, of Bristol, with driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs-second offense, blood alcohol level unknown, refusal to submit to a chemical test, possession of marijuana-first offense and driving in possession of controlled substances. Police stopped Mr. Januario’s vehicle on New Meadow Road at 1:52 a.m. after it was observed swerving into an oncoming lane. Mr. Januario reportedly had a reddish face and bloodshot eyes with slurred speech and an odor of alcohol on his breath. He reportedly had difficulty with field sobriety tests and refused a breathalyzer. Police also allegedly found a smoking pipe and marijuana in Mr. Januario’s possession.
Police charged Zackery Steven Luis, 21, of East Providence, with driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs-first offense, blood alcohol level unknown and refusal to submit to a chemical test. Police stopped Mr. Luis’ vehicle on New Meadow Road at 2:54 a.m. after it stopped in the middle of the road with a flat tire. He also reportedly had a flushed face and an odor of alcohol on his breath. He told police he had been a club earlier that evening. Mr. Luis reportedly had difficulty with field sobriety tests and refused a breathalyzer.
Police arrested Sloane Zita Massey, 43, of Pawtucket, on a Superior Court bench warrant. Police stopped a vehicle carrying Ms. Massey for speeding on Wampanoag Trail. The warrant was issued in 2004 for a probation violation.
Saturday, March 2
The Rhode Island Department of Health contacted Barrington Police concerning a dog bite. A Maple Avenue man reportedly suffered a finger infection after he was bitten by a dog in East Providence on Feb. 22. The matter was referred to East Providence.Add to favorites
