Adamsville, Tiverton men charged in road rage fracas

Following a road rage incident, that started in Portsmouth and ended up in Tiverton, Alexander T. Hartnett, 26, of 56 Crandall Road, Apt. 331, Adamsville, was charged with disorderly conduct at 1:13 p.m., and Nathaniel Stockard, 22 of 50 Hayden Avenue, Tiverton was charged with disorderly conduct at 2:19 p.m. The two men gave conflicting stories, but police said Mr. Hartnett had kicked Mr. Stockard, and Mr. Stockard had swung his car door into Mr. Hartnett, striking him.

Tuesday, March 25

After being stopped on Route 24 northbound at 11:04 a.m., Edward Alberto, 49, of 387 Judson Street, Tiverton, was charged with obstruction when he gave a false name to the officer. Police said Mr. Alberto explained that he had given the wrong information because he thought his license was suspended, though it actually had not been.

At 6:06 p.m., Chad Virgil Souza, 23, of Raynham, was stopped for a seatbelt violation, but was charged with obstruction after he allegedly gave a false name and a wrong date of birth to the officer.

Wednesday, March 26

After an argument about pets, police said Antonio Orgeree, 19, of 40 Walnut Street, Tiverton, was charged at 1:58 p.m. with domestic assault by strangulation for having pulled the hair of his victim, wrapping his arm around her neck in a choke hold, and whispering threats into her ear.
