If you see a pair of floppy eared animals being chased around by a small dog while riding along Sodom road in Westport don’t fret, they are Brian Tripp’s Nubian goats. Nubians are a domestic breed of goat developed in Great Britain from native milking stock and goats from the Middle East and North Africa, states Wikipedia. The goats have been chomping up Mr. Tripp’s grass for nine years. “They are my pets and my landscapers. They eaten all my briars around my yard,” he said. His trusty dog Bear keeps the Nubians in line. “Bear keeps them from getting out into the road. Most of the time,” Said Mr. Tripp. The Nubians are mild and friendly animals. “They haven’t bitten anyone yet,” said Mr. Tripp adding, “They are good pets. nice to have around.”
