Photos: LaSalle pummels Portsmouth 41-14 in D-1 semifinal

Senior wide receiver Sean Tullson catches a Bobby Chavous pass and breaks away from a LaSalle defender on his way to the end zone to tie the score at 7-7 in the first quarter.

Portsmouth High School Patriots could not find the necessary answers on defense to stop the LaSalle senior tandem of quarterback Anthony Francis and running back Joshua Morris. The duo passed and ran over the Patriots scoring all but one touchdown for LaSalle in a 41-14 romp.

Portsmouth quarterback Bobby Chavous threw two touchdown passes in the loss. In the first quarter Chavous hooked up with wide receiver Sean Tullson on a in route from the LaSalle 40 yard-line. Tullson beat the LSalle defensive back on the catch and outran the safety to the end zone, making the score 7-6. Patriots kicker Dallas Wynegar evened the score at  7-7 with the PAT. The Portsmouth senior quarterback threw his second touchdown pass in the fourth quarter with the Patriots down 35-7. With his team on the LaSalle 45 yard-line, Chavous threw a 10 yard pass over the middle to running back Matt Greenman who gave his man the slip after making the grab and  jogged into the end zone. Wynegar added the PAT to make it 35-14.
