The Coffee Depot was jam packed and jamming Thursday night as dozens of artists showed off their creations to equal numbers of last-minute holiday shoppers. And for a short time toward the end of the evening event, The Wippets, one of Warren’s most beloved bands, provided that background music.
The show was a first for Warren and was organized by the Warren Arts Initative. The idea was to celebrate Warren’s creative community and help local artisans sell their pieces; on display were everything from paintings to class to leatherwork and sculpture. There was even a table set up for local musicians, like Joe Fletcher, Brown Bird and 75orLess Records. Paula Silva, who helped organize the event, called it “In the Nick of Time.” She said it was a blast, was jam-packed, and will hopefully become a tradition in Warren.
