ace_1311041516_1275164371While students enjoy their spring vacation April 15 through April 19, work crews from A. A. Asbestos Abatement of Johnston will remove asbestos tiles from Mt. Hope High School.

Facilities director, George Simmons, said that crews can complete the work needed in one of the science classrooms within the week, having it ready by the time students return on April 22.

When the school year ends, crews will return to do similar work in the B building. Once that phase is complete, Mt. Hope High School will be asbestos free.

The school district will spend $213,938 for the asbestos abatement work.
