EAST PROVIDENCE — After two days out due to Winter Storm Nemo, most schools in East Providence, including all those public, will reopen on time Tuesday morning, Feb. 12.

Sacred Heart School will also be back in class Tuesday, but with a one-hour delay. Students and parents are asked to use the front door entrance.

One school in city will not be open Tuesday. The Ocean State Montessori School is closed due to a burst pipe and water damage.

Also of note, LaSalle Academy is open Tuesday, but with a one-hour delay. St. Raphael Academy remains closed as does St. Luke Elementary in Barrington.

I saw a kid walking towards EP High and followed the sidewalk as i was on the bus, i saw places where it was not shoveled.
I keep hearing on news all these places that are going to give out fines. It is a catch 22. I am all for clearing out your sidewalk, but some of the areas have 7 feet high banks of hard packed ice snow. So your choices are drop a few hundred dollars on a snowblower (if you can find one now), pay some one, or work it for a few hours and have a heart attack.
In the end, I saw the sidewalk at City hall was not cleaned, I also saw some sidewalks that are owned by Providence that were not clear.
