Hometown: “Bristol.”

High school: “Our Lady of Fatima.”

Previous career(s): “I went to school for cosmetology and did that for a few years, then graduated from Katherine Gibbs in 1985. I worked for an engineering firm as an administrative assistant for 15 years, and I am the office manager for T.A. Gardiner Plumbing and Heating. I became a real estate agent in 2006.

”

Hobbies: “Walking, golfing, reading.”

Technology I can’t live without: “My phone. I love the access to my email and Facebook — and especially my calendar.”

My mentor: “I have three! There’s Todd Mosher and Michelle Cartwright, the broker/owners of River’s Edge – they are professional, friendly, and helpful, and they truly care about each and every agent. Whenever I have questions, they are there for me — working for them is one of the best decisions I ever made. Also, Terri Ferreira, who was my mentor when I first became a real estate agent. I worked with her every day to learn the ropes. She is very knowledgeable, encouraging, understanding and patient. I owe a lot to her.”

The person who influenced me the most: “My husband. He always looks out for my best interests. I bounce all my ideas off him first because he has a world of knowledge and he’s always right.”

Favorite sports team: “Red Sox and Patriots. New England all the way!”

Book I recommend: “ ‘The Secret,’ by Rhonda Byrne. It’s about positive thinking and believing. You need that in real estate today. It’s a book that you read over and over again.”

TV show I can’t miss: “ ‘Grey’s Anatomy’ — that goes on the DVR every week. Also ‘The Mentalist,’ and ‘The Food Network Star.’ I love The Food Network.

My dream house: “A vintage home, close to downtown and the water, with a gourmet kitchen and a front porch.”

Why I love the East Bay: “It’s my hometown, it’s where my family and friends are. And there are gorgeous scenic views everywhere you look.”

My death-row meal: “Baked stuffed lobster with butter and a baked potato with sour cream.”

Favorite place to eat: “The Lobster Pot.”

My dream lunch date: “None. I work through lunch.”

My dream Saturday night date: “My husband. I love spending time with him.”

Guilty pleasure: “Dessert. Any dessert.”

Best place I’ve traveled to: “Puerto Vallarta, Mexico.”

Place I want to travel to: “Portugal. San Miguel is where my ancestors are from. Also Hawaii. My husband was born there but only lived there a year so he doesn’t remember any of it.”

3 Things on my ‘bucket list’: “Traveling, more volunteer work, buying my dream home.”

3 things in the trunk of my car right now: “Real estate signs, smoke detectors, and golf clubs.”

Something most people don’t know about me: “I am very organized. And I’m an avid golfer.”

Why I’m a Realtor: “Because I love it. I love working with people and making their dreams come true. Sellers are moving on with their lives and buyers are getting a dream house — it’s awesome to be part of it.”

My favorite sale and why: “It was a Bristol cottage priced at under $200,000, so there was immediate interest. A young woman saw it on the internet and really liked it but couldn’t come see it for a week. In the meantime, other people were making offers. She finally came down to see it with her fiancé, and they loved it and made the offer that the sellers accepted. It all worked out for her. The look in her eyes was wonderful, and I was so happy to be a part of a young couple’s dream come true.”

Secret to selling real estate: “Patience! And be available around the clock.”

Best advice for sellers: “Take the advice of your agent. They know the market. And price it to sell.”

Best advice for buyers: “Get pre-qualified first so you know your range and what you can afford. Then hire an agent to help you through the process.”
