Marshall appointed to Corporations, Municipal Government committees

Representative Kenneth A. Marshall (D-Dist. 68, Bristol, Warren) was appointed to the House Corporations and Municipal Government committees, according to an announcement made by house speaker Gordon D. Fox.

The corporations committee handles legislation and matters relating to financial institutions, business regulation, property and casualty insurance and consumer protection.

The municipal government committee considers all matters affecting municipal governments and transportation.

Representative Marshall was elected to his first term in the General Assembly in 2012 after serving on the Bristol Town Council for the past 10 years. He served as council chairman prior to his election to the house seat.

He is the general manager of Donovan and Sons, Inc., a family-owned plumbing, heating and cooling company in Middletown, where he has worked for 26 years.
