Little Compton police: lost bags of presents retrieved

Friday, Dec. 21

At 8:04 a.m., two bags of wrapped Christmas presents, that had been found on South of the Commons Road, were turned in to the Police Department.  Police contacted the owners, who came to the station to retrieve them.

Monday, Dec. 17

At 9:21 a.m.,a person reported she’d lost her purse, containing money and other personal belongings, the evening before near the Little Compton Community Center on the Commons.

Tuesday, Dec. 18

A caller at 11:47 a.m. said someone had driven drove down her driveway and asked her if she was interested in buying cement. She said she believed it was suspicious and so contacted police, giving them the license plate of the vehicle.

At 3:20 p.m., police received a report that a motorist was tailgating a school bus on East Main Road.

Friday, Dec. 21

At 8;38 a.m., an iPOD that had been found on West Main Road was turned in to the Police Department.
