Holy Trinity celebrates 300th with banquet Saturday

TIVERTON — Holy Trinity Episcopal Church in Tiverton will celebrate its 300th anniversary with a banquet on Saturday, September 22, 6:30 to 9 p.m.

Bishop Geralyn Wolf and her husband, Tom Bair, and Bishop-elect Nick Knisely will be among those attending. A portrait by Carolyn Hall of Holy Trinity’s founding priest, the Rev. Honyman from Trinity Church, Newport, will be unveiled.

Holy Trinity Episcopal Church is located at 1956 Main Road in Tiverton.

In other  Holy Trinity news, the Adult Christian Education program of Lectio Divina (“divine/holy reading”) will begin next Sunday, September 23, 9:00 to 9:45 a.m. with Fr. John Higgingotham in the Victorian Parlor. This will be a time of reading the day’s appointed Gospel, meditating on it and discussing what it means to each of us. All are welcome.

Ballroom dancing with instructor Greg Duda returns to Holy Trinity Church on Wednesdays, October 3, 10, 17 and 24. Come and learn the Waltz and American Swing dancing.
