Richard W. Dionne Jr.

Brandt Heckert.

Brandt Heckert is leaving the Warren Economic Development Board.

The State Street resident said he chose not to re-apply for another four-year term, and instead has applied for an open three-year seat on the Warren Planning Board. The Warren Town Council is expected to appoint new board members this coming Tuesday, Dec. 11.

During his time on the EDB, the advisory town board helped Warren improve the application process for potential businesses just getting started in Warren. Members advocated for “selling” Warren: Filling shops, spreading the word about the town’s character, and improving the look from the North End to Touisset.

Mr. Heckert is also a board member for Hope & Main, the kitchen incubator that will soon be built in the old Main Street School.
