BARRINGTON—Warm weather and bright sunny skies greeted players, coaches and family members at Barrington Little League’s Opening Day ceremony on Saturday at Sherwood Park.
Hundreds turned out to the festivities, which included Barrington Town Manager Peter DeAngelis throwing out the first pitch, members of the high school baseball team offering pointers to youngsters, and a series of skills competitions for the Little Leaguers.
