PROVIDENCE — The Providence County Grand Jury reported out an indictment Friday, Feb. 22, charging Justin Thomas with seven counts of first degree robbery, use of a firearm while committing a crime of violence, carrying a pistol without a license, three counts of assault with a dangerous weapon, larceny over $1,500, resisting arrest and reckless driving.

The last known address for Mr. Thomas, 26, was 180 Beechwood Ave., Pawtucket,

It is alleged that on or about Nov. 24, 2012, Mr. Thomas followed a pizza driver into the rear door of Domino’s Pizza on Pawtucket Avenue in East Providence, where he pulled out a .32 caliber revolver and ordered everyone into a freezer.

He allegedly demanded money from all the victims, as well as ordered one employee to clean out the cash from the register. When the East Providence Police arrived on scene, Mr. Thomas allegedly fled out the back door, and, during a police pursuit, jumped into a police vehicle which he crashed into another police vehicle.

Mr. Thomas, who is currently held without bail, is scheduled to be arraigned in Providence County Superior Court, in front of Superior Court Justice Robert D. Krause, on March 1, 2013.
