Frigid day earns brunch for Back Eddy plungers

WESTPORT—A crisp wind and a frigid temperature hovering around 20 degrees helped plungers earn their brunch at the Back Eddy restaurant on New Year’s Day.  A line began to form outside the establishment about 10:30 a.m. and grew until plungers were let in at 11:00 a.m. sharp. Five minutes later plungers began running, jumping and cannon balling into the icy water from the Back Eddy dock.
