CRANSTON — Two Rhode Island Lottery players, including one from the city, are very happy they recently played an Instant Game as they cashed in a couple of top prizes.
A woman from East Providence also cashed in a winning Instant Ticket. She won $40,000 playing “The Kings Gold” ticket and couldn’t believe it. She said she had to ask her grandson to double check it. The woman has no plans for use of her winnings as of now other than to pay bills. Stop & Shop, 1925 Pawtucket Ave., East Providence sold the winning ticket.
An Exeter man cashed in a winning $65,000 “Ultimate Payday” Instant Ticket. Payday certainly came early for him as he now plans to buy a new house. He purchased the winning Ticket at Cumberland Farms, 704 Main St., West Warwick.
Additionally, the June 12 PowerBall drawing resulted in a $10,000 winner. The ticket matched four numbers and the PowerBall number. The standard payout for this type of win is $10,000. The winner did not purchase the Power Play feature for an additional dollar on the wager. If the player had opted for Power Play, the $10,000 prize would have been increased to $40,000.
The winning ticket was purchased at Hess Express, 1394 Mineral Spring Ave., North Providence. The $10,000 prize has yet to be claimed.Add to favorites
