East Providence Police identify Metacomet Avenue murder victim

EAST PROVIDENCE — The death of a 50 year old woman found on Aug. 24 inside her East Providence home has been ruled a homicide by the Rhode Island Medical Examiner’s Office according to a press release from the East Providence Police Department Monday evening, Aug. 27.  The woman has been identified as Michelle Busby of 71 Metacomet Ave.

The East Providence Police Department are seeking the public’s help in finding the victim’s vehicle and locating a person of interest in the investigation.  The vehicle, a 2006 white Jeep Commander, was last known to have RI license plates JP-449.  The police would also like to speak with Ms. Busby’s boyfriend, Andrew Jett (photograph attached) who is believed to have been living with her.

Anyone with any information as to the whereabouts of the Jeep or Mr. Jett, are asked to contact the East Providence Police Department at 401-435-7600.
