CRANSTON — An East Providence resident was among those subjects arrested by Cranston Police on breaking and entering charges at a residence on Priscilla Drive in the city.
According to the police report, Wednesday morning, July 9, at approximately 7:08 a.m., officers responded to the area of 123 Priscilla Drive in the City of Cranston for a report of a breaking and entering. Three suspects attempted to flee from the area after the owners of the residence arrived home.
While attempting to flee, the vehicle the three suspects were traveling in overturned at the intersection of Priscilla Drive and Olney Arnold Road. All three occupants ran from the vehicle. Members of the Cranston Police quickly apprehended Leonard Jackson, 38, of 60 Anthony Street, East Providence, and Kerry Raso, 45 of 14 Barrett Street, North Providence, a short distance from the rolled over vehicle.
A third suspect was later apprehended by members of the Cranston Police and members of the Rhode Island State Police K-9 Unit. State Police K-9 Chuck located Kevin Lenk, 46 of 612 Wilbur Avenue, Cranston, hiding in the woods in the area of 1241 Phenix Avenue and made the apprehension by administering a bite to Lenk’s stomach area. All three subjects were transported to Rhode Island hospital for the treatment of minor injuries.
The suspects were booked on the following charges:
Kevin Lenk was charged with the following: Breaking and Entering; Conspiracy; Leaving the scene of an accident with personal injury; Resisting arrest
Leonard Jackson was charged with the following: Breaking and Entering; Conspiracy; Possession of a Schedule IV Controlled Substance (Clonazepam); Resisting arrest.
Kerry Raso was charged with the following: Breaking and Entering; Conspiracy; Possession of a Schedule IV Controlled Substance (Clonazepam).
