The call was for a reported chimney fire. There was a wood stove in use and the fire got into the wall in the area of the stove. Engine 4, which had been temporarily located nearby on Amaral Street while Station 4 west of the incident is being remodeled but is now holed up at Station 2 on Bullocks Point Avenue, discovered the fire in the wall of the home.

The fire was extinguished quickly by the companies on scene, Lt. Bellamy continued.  And although there was some overhaul the structure, the residents were able to remain in the dwelling, he added.  The building inspector was called to the scene for further investigation.
