East Providence EMA up with page on Hurricane Sandy

EAST PROVIDENCE — As part of its preparations for the possible impact of Hurricane Sandy, the still-massive storm as of Sunday, Oct. 28, making its way up the east coast, the East Providence Emergency Management Agency is up with a new web page to help guide residents.

The web page is just one part of the city’s preparations for the storm, the main impact of which is still expected to hit the area sometime Monday night and into Tuesday. Consistently high winds, severe gusts and multiple inches of rain are in the forecast.

As a reminder, sand is available free for filling bags at the EPDPW headquarters located on Commercial Way.
