The Coast Guard suspended its search for a possible missing boater at sunset Friday.
A Coast Guard spokesman said the decision was made in part because no missing persons report has been filed.

The Coast Guard and teams from Portsmouth, Tiverton, Swansea, Bristol and the state Department of Environmental Managements searched Mount Hope Bay all day Friday after a dinghy was found with nobody aboard. Inside the boat were a fishing rod, live bait  (crabs), and a UMass-Dartmouth soccer shirt.
