BayCoast Bank elects VanSloun, Ehrenhaus to leadership posts


Following its annual meeting, BayCoast Bank and its mutual holding company, Narragansett Financial Corporation, announced that Neil VanSloun has been elected as a corporator of Narragansett Financial Corporation, and Abraham Ehrenhaus has been elected as honorary trustee/chairman emeritus of Narragansett Financial Corporation and honorary director/chairman emeritus of BayCoast Bank.

During the meeting, held on March 25 at Rachel’s Lakeside in Dartmouth, BayCoast Bank President and CEO Nicholas Christ spoke of the changes and initiatives that took place over the previous year, including a name change, the opening of new branch locations including one in Westport, and the growth of both the bank and its affiliates.   The meeting included the election and reelection of trustees, directors, and officers.

Narragansett Financial Corporation’s newly elected corporator, Mr. VanSloun, is the founder and CEO of Sylvan Nursery, which has locations in Dartmouth and Westport.  Mr. VanSloun is actively involved with local charities and the communities of Dartmouth and Westport.

Long affiliated with Narragansett Financial Corporation and BayCoast Bank, Mr. Ehrenhaus had previously served as chairman of the Board of Directors at BayCoast Bank.
