PORTSMOUTH — A boat working shop at Portsmouth’s New England Boatworks was among the storm victims, collapsing over the weekend under the weight of the snow. Officials say they are concerned that more buildings, especially those with flat roofs, could follow as rain makes the snow burden much heavier.

Tom Rich, NEB partner, said the collapse was discovered Saturday. There were no injuries — nobody was working at the time.

He said that Building #1 as it known, a World War II era Quonset hut, is used mostly for boat repairs.

One boat was inside but suffered little if any damage.
