Bristol Theatre to stage ‘High School Musical’

highschl musical-rich5The jocks, thespians, brainiacs and skater dudes take to the stage this weekend when the Bristol Theatre Company presents “High School Musical” at Reynolds School.

The students from East High are back from winter break — complete with the teen issues of first love, friends, family, classes and school activities, including the high school musical.

The theatre company cast includes 52 hildren and young adults from Bristol, Warren, Portsmouth, Fall River, Rehoboth and Swansea. Featured are Ethan Varvalhoof Bristol and Abby Moore of Portsmouth as twin thespians, Brian Mancieri of Bristol as the school jock, and Emily Fleet of Fall River, highschl musical-rich4Mass., as the school brainiac.

The family-friendly production is scheduled for 7 p.m. Thursday through Saturday, July 31-Aug. 2; and 2 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, Aug. 3-4., at Reynolds School, 235 High St.
