Bristol teen struck while crossing street

A 17-year-old Bristol man is taken to Rhode Island Hospital for treatment of injuries he sustained after being struck by a car.

A 17-year-old Bristol man is taken to Rhode Island Hospital for treatment of injuries he sustained after being struck by a car.

A Bristol teen was struck by a car Wednesday morning while crossing the intersection of Sherry Avenue and Chestnut Street.
According to police, John Goltman, 70, of Bristol, was traveling east on Chestnut Street when the 17-year-old male attempted to cross southbound on Chestnut Street on a long board. The teen was struck by the right passenger side of Mr. Goltman’s car, losing a shoe.
The teen was conscious upon police arrival and was transported to Rhode Island Hospital by Bristol Rescue for treatment of his injuries.
The case is under investigation.
