With the 4th of July parade scheduled to step off at 10:30 a.m., there’s a good chance the bands and dignitaries will be sloshing through puddles by the time the end of the parade reaches the review stand on High Street early this afternoon. Parade goers are advised to be prepared for the wet conditions.
The rain may be a blessing to marchers and viewers alike, cooling things off from the hot, humid conditions over the last couple days. Temperatures are expected to peak in the low 80s today. Once the storm passes, the region is in for a gorgeous weekend with sunny skies and temperatures in the high 70s to low 80s Saturday and Sunday
