The Fifth Annual Bodacious Bee, an adult spelling bee fund-raiser for the Bristol Warren Education Foundation will be held on Saturday, March 9 at 5 p.m.

The fund-raiser is the BWEF’s signature fund-raising event, raising money to help every school in the district afford a variety of materials, programs and experiences that enhance the learning community for students. Last year the BWEF distributed $43,200 in teacher-requested grants. And this year the BWEF hopes to raise even more money.

This year’s theme is ‘Bee a Reader – Children’s books’.

The Bodacious Bee has become the place to see and ‘bee’ seen in the East Bay and beyond, where 18 three-member teams will demonstrate their spelling prowess.

The Bee will be held on Saturday, March 9th at 5:30pm in the Roger Williams University Field House. This year, in addition to the main event, you will enjoy appetizers from 195 Franklin during our cocktail hour, delicious BBQ by Preppy Pig, desserts by The Sweet Shoppe and Casual Catering, coffee from the Coffee Depot, cash bar, live auction, raffle, trophies and other surprises.

Tickets for the event are $50.
