Meet at the ice rink on Legion Way next Saturday, Feb. 16, for a walkabout with the Land Trust.

With a looming nor’easter, the event will now be held on Saturday, Feb. 16 beginning at 10 a.m.

Those planning to take part should park at the Legion Way ice skating rink. The walk will travel through the western side of Veterans Park, examining trails and wetlands in preparation for the next phase of park projects and trail improvements.

The walk will move through wet and snowy conditions.

The event will also move to Brick Yard Pond for the second part of the walkabout.

Long pants, gloves and sturdy shoes are recommended for all walkabouts. Insect repellant is also advised.
