A Townsend Street resident stopped into the Barrington Police Department on Saturday, April 5, at about 3:30 p.m., to file a report for malicious damage to his property.

The resident told an officer that his neighbor had recently pulled out five pine trees that he had just planted on his property. Police responded to the scene and spoke to the suspect, who reportedly told officers that she did not like the trees so she ripped them out of the ground.

The complainant told police that he did not want to press charges against his neighbor, but would like the incident documented. Officers did not charge the woman.
