Nine months ago Emily Fitz, a 2007 graduate from Barrington High School, made the trip across country to begin her lifelong dream as an actress.

Upon arriving in Los Angeles, Emily immersed herself in the film industry and most recently she landed a role in “Synthetic,” an independent horror film, written and directed by Isaac Needleman. This is Emily’s first thriller.

Emily plays the role of Heather, an artsy photographer, who takes a new age drug that turns her and her friends into flesh-eating zombies.

“I am over the moon to be collaborating on such an exciting project; this is a big step forward,” she wrote in a recent press release, “working with young filmmakers is a fantastic opportunity, as it is a great way to foster relationships with other aspiring professionals in the entertainment industry.”

“Synthetic” is to be submitted to numerous horror film festivals across the country.
