The parents of a 13-year-old Barrington boy filed a report with the police last week claiming that a school bus driver assaulted their son.
According to police, the boy’s parents said their son had blood on his teeth and that the bus driver had blood on his hand. They said they could see marks on the boy’s face. Police officers said they could find no marks on the boy.
Officers also contacted First Student, the transportation company that provides busing to the Barrington School Department, regarding the incident. An official with that company said the boy in question actually attacked the bus monitor.
Police are still investigating the situation, as are public school officials. No one has been arrested.
