Author to speak of her escape from Nazi-occupied Norway.
This evening with Irene Levin Berman is sponsored by the Book Club of United Brothers Synagogue, led by Brenda Stahl, Book Club Chairperson and Erik Skoug, editor of the UBS newsletter. Irene shares her sense of the impact the Holocaust had on her life growing up in Norway, and, after her marriage to an American, her life in the United States. She takes the reader along as 63 years later, she researches through archives and personal interviews to discover the fate of the aunts, uncles and cousins who “disappeared”.
