EAST PROVIDENCE — The Weaver Library, 41 Grove Avenue, invites you to a free outdoor concert with the Atwater-Donnelly Trio on Wednesday, July 10, at 6:30 p.m.

Joining Aubrey and Elwood is Cathy Clasper-Torch, a remarkable fiddler, cellist and vocalist who knows just where to add an exquisite cello line, an exuberant burst of old-time fiddle, and her unique voice.ph-trio3

The Atwater Donnelly Trio’s program of traditional American and Celtic folk songs include a capella pieces, old-time gospel songs, dance tunes, and original works. Atwater and Donnelly blend gorgeous and unusual harmonies and play guitar, Appalachian mountain dulcimer, mandolin, tin whistle, harmonica, banjo, bones, spoons, limberjacks, and other surprises.

Bring the whole family as this trio’s warm and wonderful performances appeal to all ages.  With humor, a relaxed stage presence, and improvisational skills, Aubrey, Elwood, and Cathy bring a deep and rich understanding of folk music to their audiences. Join us for the first concert in Weaver Library’s Wednesday evening music series on the lawn.

Questions? Contact Adult Services Librarian Joyce May at 434-2453 or eplibraryjoyce@yahoo.com.  This concert will move indoors in the event of rain.
