Assessors to reveal new Westport property values

The Board of Assessors of Westport announces that Fiscal 2013 property values have been established for residential, commercial, industrial, mixed-use properties, properties valued under Chapter 61, 61A, 61B and apartments of four or more units.

The values will be available to the public starting Monday, April 8, ending at the close of business Friday, April 12.  Daily hours will be from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.. Monday through Friday at the Assessors Office, Town Hall, 816 Main Road,.  The State of Massachusetts has given preliminary certification of these property values.

The property values are also posted on the town’s website:  www.Westport-ma.gov, town departments: Board of Assessors.

Ttaxpayers wishing to question their new assessment should wait until they receive their actual tax bill.  Then they may file an application for overvaluation with the Westport Assessors office.
