EAST PROVIDENCE — The office of Interim Superintendent Dr. John DeGoes announced East Providence schools would be closed Friday, Feb. 8, due to the expected impact of Nor’easter Nemo.
Schools will be shut down in the city, but all 12-month employees in the system are expected to report to work if possible and if conditions are safe.
Snow amounts are expected to total as much as two feet as blizzard conditions strike the area some time shortly after noon on Friday or just about the time schools release students.
In addition, St. Mary Academy-Bay View has also canceled Friday classes as has St. Margaret and Sacred Heart Elementary Schools.
