U.S. Senator Sheldon Whitehouse will host a community dinner in Barrington on Tuesday, Jan. 10.

— U.S. Senator Sheldon Whitehouse will host a community dinner in Barrington on Tuesday, Jan. 10, to listen to local residents’ concerns and take questions. The dinner will be held at Barrington High School from 6 to 8 p.m.

Sen. Whitehouse is scheduled to discuss a number of topics including Rhode Island small businesses, transportation infrastructure, and Social Security and Medicare benefits, among other things.

Since taking office in Jan. 2007, Whitehouse has regularly held community dinners, which are free and open to Rhode Islanders, and provide them the opportunity to talk directly with the senator about the issues that matter most to them and their families.

Anyone interested in attending can RSVP online at http://whitehouse.senate.gov/services/dinners/ or by calling 453-5294. RSVP’s are encouraged but not required, and the event is first come, first served.
