BARRINGTON A cocker spaniel that was adopted by a Barrington family on Sunday, Feb. 19 went missing one day later.
The dog, an 8-year-old female, was wearing a red collar but did not have any tags on it when it disappeared on Monday, Feb. 20. The dog was adopted from an out-of-state rescue group. She had been in Massachusetts and Connecticut before coming to Rhode Island.
“She was a ‘puppy mill/breeder dog’ so is not used to being out and about — is likely very scared so we are trying to get the word out in case anyone spots her,” wrote Cindy Larson, who runs Barrington Partnership for Animal Welfare.
Anyone who has seen this dog is asked to write Ms. Larson an e-mail at info@barringtonpaw.org.
