My name was Ping. I was a Pekinese, copper color with black fringe. I was around 14 years old. I never had a human family until September 2010. I was rescued from a puppy mill in Michigan and then traveled around the country to different shelters in search of a forever family. I was advertised in the pet section of the paper as a senior male Pekinese. I didn’t have a lot of manners, and had some health problems. My forever family came and picked me up at the shelter, took a chance on me.
They loved me anyway and were very patient with me. Over the last few months I have had a lot of health problems and was diagnosed with a brain tumor. My family took good loving care of me right to the end.
I want to say thank you to my forever family for giving me my wish. It was the best year of my life. I had a comfortable home, with my own bed, great food and treats and plenty of ear rubs and pats on the head. Thanks K-9 friends Romeo and MuShu, my fellow pound dogs who are also Pekinese. Thanks to my big dog friend Dreddie, who was gentle with me. Thanks you Bristol County Vets for my medical care.
My message to people considering a pet is to go to the local shelters and pounds and give us cast offs a chance. With a little patience we are great pets.
See you at the Rainbow Bridge my forever family.
Love, Ping
